Carlisle Brass Eurospec DIN DLX Square Nightlatch - 60mm
Heavy duty DIN European mortice strongly sprung (EN12209 Grade X) nightlatch case with two-piece 22mm wide square forend and anti-rattle striking plate (with black boxed keep), with stainless steel reversible latch bolt; suitable for domestic and commercial projects.
This lock is most commonly used as a front entrance door lock which functions like the Yale type but instead of being visible it is hidden in the door and is also the lock that you need for electronic entry door systems.
The cylinder nightlatch has a 60mm backset (distance from the edge of the door to the centre of the lever handle). The latch bolt is withdrawn by a euro profile cylinder (from either side of your door) or a half-pair lever handle (mounted on the inside of your door). When the door closes the nightlatch automatically locks via the "anti-thrust" bolt which in effect changes the latch into a deadbolt for added security.
This latch is CE Marked and conforms to European standard EN12209:2003 Classification 3X810G-BC20 and conforms to the dimensional characteristics of DIN 18251 and comes with a 10 year mechanical guarantee. UK-CA Marked and Third party accredited using the UL-EU safety mark.
Approved for use on 30/60/120 minute timber and 120/240 minute fire rated doors when used in conjunction with available intumescent packs.
