Carlisle Brass Easi-T DIN Radius European Cylinder Escape Lock - 60mm
Heavy duty DIN European mortice strongly sprung europrofile cylinder escape lock case with two-piece 24mm wide radius forend and anti-rattle striking plate (with black boxed keeps), with stainless steel reversible latch and deadbolt; suitable for domestic and commercial projects.
The cylinder escape lock has a backset (distance from edge of door to handle/cylinder) of 60mm and 86mm case depth; suitable for a single internal escape lever handle and euro-profile cylinders; supplied with half-set lever handle spindle.
When the door closes the escape lock automatically locks via the "anti-thrust" bolt which in effect changes the latch into a deadbolt for added security. If the ancillary deadbolt has been locked via the europrofile cylinder and the deadbolt thrown, a singe depression of the internal lever handle retracts both the latch and deadbolt for immediate egress/escape.
The distance between the centre of the lever handle and cylinder is 72mm which aesthetically when viewed on a door is less cramped than conventional UK locks. This lock also has a "grip-tight" follower that eliminates the wobble that can be felt when operating the lever handles with other makers locks.
This escape lock is CE Marked and conforms to European standard EN12209:2003 Classification 3X810G2BC20 and conforms to the dimensional characteristics of DIN 18251and comes with a 10 year mechanical guarantee.
Certifire approved (CF850) for use on 30 and 60 minute fire rated doors when used in conjunction with available intumescent packs.
