Glutz MINT 1893 Single Three Point Multipoint Lock - Lift to Lock
A three point reversible (non-handed) multipoint lock with comfort latch bolt and three deadbolts controlled by lever handle and europrofile cylinder (not supplied) with a stainless steel 1788mm long x 20mm wide radiused forend, manufactured by Glutz from Switzerland.
The lock is engaged by lifting the lever handle which throws all of the bolts and by turning the cylinder (not included) locks the bolts. Unlocking is achieved by turning the cylinder and then depressing the lever handle which retracts all bolts. Please note that the latch bolt is not retracted by the cylinder and only by a lever handle which means that a lever handle must be on both sides of the door.
The central multipoint lock features a 60mm backset—the distance from the door's edge to the handle/cylinder—with a 25mm single throw, requiring one turn of the cylinder. It is compatible with un-sprung lever handles and euro-profile cylinders. Additionally, the top and bottom locks are equipped with 20mm single throw deep bolts.
The distance between the centre of the lever handle and cylinder is 78mm which aesthetically when viewed on a door is less cramped than conventional UK locks. This multipoint has been Third Party tested to EN1634.
This multipoint lock is suitable for use on FD30/60 fire doors when used in conjunction with the optional intumescent kit.
