TENSE

Bertram Beerbaum designs all sorts of products for the home and is a well-known person on Dutch television, where he appears in various home-related programmes as a designer, presenter, and judge.
A design is successful if it surprises and pleases people, whilst remaining accessible and true to its essence. As the owner of the architectural firm Kabaz, Bertram invests a great deal of energy in creating and designing interiors and architectural projects – in all of which he strives for uniqueness. Bertram Beerbaum therefore enjoys channelling his energy into translating this uniqueness into a wide range of products such as doors, stairs, poured floors, and outdoor furniture.
Bertram Beerbaum is all about sharing. Taking beautiful products to the next level by combining inspiration from Bertram and his partners. He doesn’t just look at the visuals; he also looks at the story behind them. Door fittings must look good, sit comfortably in the hand, and the design must be in harmony with the architecture of a building. It may seem like an inconspicuous detail in the home, but the devil is in the detail. Formani regularly presents innovative new collections and is always seeking to collaborate with renowned Dutch designers to do so. An inspiring encounter with Bertram Beerbaum quickly led to new and exciting ideas for door fittings and ultimately to the fantastic ‘Tense’ collection.

Tense by Bertram Beerbaum is a comprehensive concept for door, window, and furniture fittings. The designs are unique, as the neck and arm are joined in unusual ways for each product. The basis of every design is the cylindrical neck. Each lever is connected in its own unique way to the neck. The strength of the design lies in its clear, robust, yet chic aesthetic.
